Good Samaritan Department Online Seminar “A Biblical Perspective on Giving”

THE GOOD SAMARITAN DEPARTMENT OF THE CANADIAN FIELD warmly invites you to attend a special presentation entitled:

“A Biblical Perspective on Giving”
Date: Sunday, May 31, 2026
Time: 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. EST
Platforms: Zoom, Youtube & Facebook

This program promises to provide valuable, informative, and inspiring biblical insights designed to help participants better understand God’s principles of giving and make informed spiritual decisions.

The presentations will cover two important topics:
• A Second Tithe
• Systematic Benevolence

Our first speaker, Pastor Douglas Francis, who works with the General Conference in the United States, will present on the subject of “A Second Tithe.” This is a topic he has studied extensively and discussed in depth. Though less commonly examined today—and often accompanied by varied reactions, questions, and uncertainty—the biblical principles surrounding the second tithe remain deeply significant and firmly rooted in Scripture as part of God’s plan for caring for the poor and those in need.

Our second speaker, Pastor Morris Lowe, a member of the General Conference serving in Canada and leader of the General Conference Good Samaritan Department, will speak on “Systematic Benevolence.” While the concept of a second tithe is often included within systematic benevolence, Pastor Lowe will place special emphasis on the broader biblical principles of giving. He will explain how these practices strengthen the Church’s ability to plan effectively, support missionary and charitable efforts, care for those in need, and ultimately prepare God’s people for eternal rewards.

Join us live on May 31st at 10:00 a.m. EST through one of the following platforms:
